Thanks

Re: Changing color #'s in palette
Sorry, I am using Windows 10Pro / PSP X9.
When I right click to change the color # or a gradient, it takes forever for the change to activate.
Right click, select other, and it takes about 30 seconds for the Material Properties box to pop up (this for color/gradient/pattern.

I too am using Win 10. I just tried PSPx9. I assume you are in the Materials palette. Why right-click? In any case, right-clicking, then selecting other takes effect in the blink of an eye. Have you tried shift-open when you start PSP? If you do that, save your workspace first.yowgal wrote:Sorry, I am using Windows 10Pro / PSP X9.

Shift-open? Not familiar with that.
When changing a color on the palette, you have to right click to get the materials palette up, no???

Re: Changing color #'s in palette
In PSP X9 I use the Classic Materials Properties box. You can get this by File > Preferences >General Program Preferences > Palettes and in the middle tick the Use Classic Material Properties.
Then under the word Materials there are three icons Frame , Rainboow and Swatches.
I use the Rainbow. Now changing a solid color is as simple as left clicking any color area to change the Foreground and Stroke properties color and Right clicking a color to change the Background and Fill properties color box.
Right Clicking either color box is useful for referring back to the 8 most recently used colors or to choose a primary or a secondary color. All these actions / changes should be very fast less than 3 seconds.
If you are experiencing some long delays then it may mean something is wrong with your system.
Try in order
1. File > Preferences > Reset Preferences and tick Reset workspace to default configuration and Delete all cache files.
If that does not help then try resetting the whole program
2. Close the program, wait about 10 seconds, then hold the shift key down and double click the desktop icon to start PSP X9 and answer Yes to the request . This changes all settings to the default. and often clears up a lot of problems if earlier attempts do not work.
If none of these work then you may need to reinstall your program. (You do have a backup of your install files don't you along with your serial number?)
3. If ready then use the windows install/ uninstall to remove PSP X9
Download and run the Cleanup tool mentioned in the sticky thread at the top here:
viewtopic.php?f=56&t=52337
Use the one for PSP X9
then run your install files to reinstall PSP X9.
Should there still be problems then you may have to consult with Corel help as a last resort.

When you open/start the application (PSP) you reset everything. This is why you save your workspace before doing it.yowgal wrote:Shift-open? Not familiar with that.

As for getting a complete color palette, try left-clicking.
