Pan/Crop with Track Motion
I can't seem to figure out how to get the Track Motion to work with the cropping. I want to have a preset 1080 crop frame from inside a 4k source and have it follow a subject with motion tracking. I'm running 2018, but would upgrade if needed.

As far as I know the Track Motion uses the videos full screen resolution
We cannot zoom in or crop the 4K video then apply Track Motion
We can crop and render to a new video file then apply Track Motion
Depending on the complexity of your tracking you could try using Customise Motion, that will allow you to zoom in and pan – effectively tracking motion.
Upgrading will not change change anything.
