HOW CAN I CREATE SLIME AND SNOT ?

Post by grooveboy »

I'm creating some funny characters and I need to have snot dripping from their noses.

Can someone tell me what's the best way to get this effect ?
thanks

What sort of slime and snot?

I'm searching for
funny character slime snot
in Google Images and found this:

You may cut out the slime and snot and place it on your image.
It is difficult to teach how to draw this with PaintShop Pro.

It is "difficult," you say, but not impossible? I would think you'd need a Wacom and the ability to draw. My daughter has such skills; I do not. You showed an example to cut and paste. What about drawing de novo? Is there a way short of hand drawing on a touch-sensitive pad?

Is there a drooping effect? Or would one have to get a plugin for that?

It all depends on what you're going for. How realisitc, 3D, 2D, what's the style. How transparent or opaque.

You can also use the warp brush to create a liquidy effect. Or the KPT Goo plugin.

I made this one by first creating a vector circle. Then applying the Balls and Bubbles effect. Finally using the warp brush to manipulate the shape.

And then, of course, there is the KPT Gel effect. You change the tinting to any color you want and you have a lot of options for playing with the shape, size, splatter, etc.

Here is an example made with KPT Gel

Maybe a process similar to dripping blood may be what you need.
