Paint shop pro does not start

Most of the times, Paint shop pro 2020 does not start!
it's visible in the task manager only, CPU=0, MEM= 5316K
but not visible main window.

I just installed this and configuret it so that it should show the full editor every time.
when i kill the process and open again, mostly it opens

How can I debug this what's wrong? I know that corel cannot do anything with this info only.


Any sp's coming btw? App is many times hanging for seconds..

windows 7 64 bit, PSP 2020, 22.1.0.43 x64
ram i have 16GB so cannot be that, it's never full

I often have this happen when I close PSP (various versions) and try to reopen again almost immediately. Nothing happens -- though a minute later, everything is OK and it opens again. If I have Task Manager open when I close it, I see that in the Background Processes of Task Manager there is still a PSP module open. I close it, and then PSP will open again immediately. I have learned to close PSP and then leave it for a minute or so before trying to reopen it. Then it always works.

I can confirm that behavior on PSP 2018. I always use Ken's workaround.

For me, it appears this happens every single time PSP2020 is shut down. It will not start via context menu or from Start. The background process must be shut down using Task manager.
