Increasing transition time
Newbie here. I am trying to build a slideshow using my photographs. When I click on a transition and increase its time, why does my project duration shrink? If I increase the time of a transition I then have to go back and alter the timing of all the clips. Am I doing something wrong? Surely, if I increase transition times the project time should increase? Any help please

Re: Increasing transition time
Hi
Transitions cause the ends of the images to overlap this has the effect of moving images to the left which reduces the overall duration.
If you change the transition time then the overlap is greater.
The transition is applied to both clips.
You can set the transitions to be added automatically when you add the image, go to F6 Preferences Edit tab, Transition Effect to the bottom of the panel to set the duration.
Then when you start a new project adding all images will have the transition already applied with the correct duration.
Default Photo duration's can also be set

Re: Increasing transition time
You can't change the duration of a transition if ripple editing is enabled on an overlay track. However, ripple editing is recommended if you are editing using overlay tracks to preserve timing when changes are made.RayArt wrote:If I increase the time of a transition I then have to go back and alter the timing of all the clips.
