Replacement

Post by JimMayor »

Apparently PI X3 no longer works in Win 10. I tried running it in compatibility mode, and MS says it is an incompatible program. So, if there is no solution for this, what is the best program to use instead? By that I mean, as nice to use. I have no interest in the complexity of Photoshop and the clones. I just want a nice, simple image editor.

Hi
I do have PI X3 installed and using Windows 10
Although I do not use the program that much, when I have run the program I have never seen a warning that it is not compatible.
Have you tried re-installing the program.

PSP has three edit modes / workspaces, Photographic, Essentials and Complete
The first two are quite basic, if you do have to find a new editor you should run the PSP trial.

Searching your other posts you do seem to have asked the question a few times.

One colleague, cannot remember who recommended Paint.net a free image editing program.

I have two computers. It still works fine on the other one. I hope my I not due to one of the myriad WIN10 updates.

Yes. The result is the same.

I’ll try one of those. Thanks.

Yes. I figured one of these days it wouldn’t work. I hate having to learn new programs. I am too old for thi!

I don’t mind paying, but I’ll try this also. Thanks.

Hi Jim
One thing you can try is to Right Click the IP icon and “Run as Administrator”
Does the program run using that option.
