I suppose I should preclude by saying that I've been a PSP user since version 3.12.
I'm running X9 on two different computers.
Both running the final version of X9. Ver. 19.2.0.7 x64
One is Windows 7 (desktop) the other is Windows 10 (laptop).
On neither am I able to delete a selection in any image.
The steps are as follows:
Open image
Promote background
Selection tool is set at ADD - RGB - and any tolerance value
Select - using any of the selection tools, I've tried them all repeatedly.
Press DELETE
Nothing happens.
The only way I can remove what's in the selected area is by using the eraser tool. It's less than ideal.
Another issue I've just become aware of is the inability to drag the PSP window across the screen. It seems to be locked in position though it is not maximized.
Gosh I wish I could just get PSP 9 to work with Windows 10. This X9 makes me crazy.
Thanks in advance,
Kate

Re: PSP X9 cannot delete selection
That is not normal behavior for X9.
You could try resetting the selection tool by going to Presets and clicking on the curved arrow to reset the tool. If that doesn't work, try holding down the shift key while starting PSP. Here are the instructions in case you need them. They reference X6 but work on all versions.
