I upgraded a few weeks ago and now am finally working with VS2019 and it crashed so much I am having a hard time! I finished a project tonight, saved it, and right at the last few tweaks it crashed again, probably for the 8th time tonight.
When I ran the program again it asked me if I wanted to recover the last project, I clicked yes... and it will not load. The program freezes. I ran it again, and simply tried to load in my saved project, and I get an error message saying "unexpected file format" and it locks up. Dammit.
So, not only did it crash but it seems to have ruined the saved file along with it. Is there a way to recover that file? I am so disappointed, what a waste of money to upgrade.
2019 crashing! How can I save a corrupted file?

Sometimes VS corrupts a VSP when saving and there is little that one can do except recreate it unless one has archived older versions of the VSP. You could try posting your VSP here and see if anyone can open it or open a case with Corel and see if they can.Mark Swanson wrote:Is there a way to recover that file?
