Accidentally Pulling Tool Options from the toolbar

Post by tihzho »

Hello,

This happens so many time, you select a tool and are adjusting the options for that tool and you accidentally pull it out of the toolbar so its now floating. No matter what you do to replace it back in the tool bar it remains floating. If you close it its lost forever unless you reload your work-space. What's up with this?

Hi
Are you referring to the Tool Bar options panel across the top.
This can be hidden or shows by hitting F4 or from the Palettes menu – Tool Options
To anchor the Tool Bar to the top simply drag up to show a small square anchor arrow (not sure what you call the arrow – anchor point?)
The tool Bar will then jump back into place across the top

When it is floating look to the top where it says Tool Options - just double click in the empty space to the right of the name and it should automatically redock.

Ah ok! I just tried that and it works! I was dragging the toolbar menu back to where it was to try and dock it, but it didn't work obviously. I didn't think to drag it to the small square with the arrows!!

Thank you so much!!! :D
