Videostudio Pro 2019 Crashing with Transitions

Post by regkaz »

I've been making videos from my Canon VIXIA HF R800 with no problem. I took several movies on vacation with my Panasonic DC-ZS70. If I use any transitions the Panasonic movies will make Videostudio crash and the log file reports:

Faulting application name: vstudio.exe, version: 22.3.0.436, time stamp: 0x5cdcc8a2

I tested the same files using an old copy of Vegas Pro 14 64 bit without a single problem. I tried rendering as
MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 30 fps
Frame-based
H.264 High Profile Video: 15000 Kbps, 16:9
48000 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 192 Kbps
with no hardware acceleration and with smart render both off and on with no joy. What should I check?

Specs:

Windows 10 Home 64 bit 1903
Zotac Nvidia GTX 1080 436.48
Ryzen 7 1700X
MSI X370 carbon Pro MB
32 GB ram
1 TB C drive (NVME Samsung)
