Yesterday I spent a little time installing the 4 packs to my pc, 115 files, it took me just over the hour, yes it takes a little while, but that’s video editing for you
Corel have not changed anything to address the Do-More Get-More free packs other than to provide each as a separate download pack.
I have uploaded those to my One Drive folder, so if anyone wishes to use without going through the download / Install processes then feel free to download the packages, simply copy them to the appropriate VSPTemplate and Contents folders.
If we were able to preview the templates before installing then that would save us a lot of time as we would only install the ones we liked.

David what do you mean that you cannot find the Graphics Library
Are you saying that the flower icon between “T” and “FX” is missing?
Try resetting your Library.
Can you provide a screen shot

And asik is correct in the benefits the IP’s bring to understanding just what can be achieved, an ideal simple template for your class I would have thought.

I hope you all, with 10VS's do slim them down because no need to have the same content in all.
You can trim >3GB from each (I delete installer files also). keeping just in the one you do your projects.

Hi Asik1
The 4 packs IP’s and Graphics are a total 215Mb and are used by all versions of Video Studio

Corel are also working to create a common contents/samples folder, as of 2019 effectively only one file version will be used by all programs although will not affect older versions, needs more work as there are a mix of old and new folders, you would have thought Corel would have got that right first time.

After a recent C:Drive clean and backup of my installations I only have 2 Video Studio + PS installed and Win DVD
Not sure if I will bother with 2019, certainly not before the next service pack, and I am relying on you to test and convince me it is worth installing

I don't have a single trace of it here as it doesn't support mts's on 7.
Also no PS here...

Trevor,
This replies to your Q's, a bit out of sequence
1. The equivalent 'user' location for the bonus items doesn't exist on my windows 7 file structure, and there are certainly no bonus items anywhere in the 'my documents' tree for Vs2019. no indication of where they went, if indeed they did go anywhere.
2. The graphics pack: a separate folder in the installed application tree for VS2019, and that folder lists 30 items. The library graphics icon is certainly there, but none of the 30 items in the graphics pack folder in the (eg, BG01) is in the folder listings. For example, BG should be in backgrounds. It's not. And it's not in any of the others. Same for FR (frames), etc. My point was that you made specific reference to the items being in the "my library", and so I went looking for a 'my library'. There isn't one. If you meant that the items should have been in the main library of the installation then no, they aren't.

This situation did not exist in time past - a pack downloaded and installed, content went into the right places as part of the process: one download, one install, and it's done. it wasn't broken, so why Corel felt that fixing a working mechanism which resulted in what is now there just seems ludicrous.

Hi David
Nothing has changed with the installation of the Graphics pack, Bonus pack or Templates other than being able to download all as one file, well actually 4 files / folders
Please note the Contents and Template folders do not exist until we install the first file.

The 30 items including the BG01.exe are installation files and need to be run to install their contents.
If you locate the BG01.exe within the Graphics Pack folder, double click that file to install
If this is the first time you have done this then the Contents Folder will also be created

The packs are available for all versions of Videoo Studio so do not install to the 2019 folder but to the C:\Users\Trevor\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro
As images below
The library image shows the Frames, I have highlighted the new clips from the Graphics Pack with a yellow flag

These new packs are clearly sensitive to the windows version. You run win10, I run win7. These are images from my win7 installation AFTER BG01 in the graphics pack was 'installed'
1. The documents library
Is actually the same (has the same content) as the 'my documents' folder in the C drive users folder tree, specifically
User my documents tree after BG01.jpg
and you'll note that in neither one - the library or the user tree folder - does the bonus content sub-folder appear (after BG01 installed)

2. The content of the graphics library - backgrounds - has no BG01 in the panel after it was installed.
backgrounds after BG01 installed.jpg
There are no BG items in any of the other graphics panes, so either the installer failed without warning message, or it simply did not install but finished normally, which is what I've seen.

And as an aside, opening the animation pane with nothing in the timeline (as you might to see what was available) immediately crashes 2019: windows "application has stopped working" message panel appears. Have something in the timeline and the animation pane opens normally,

On humorous note, the template bundle folders for the 2nd and 3rd downloads are showing in your screenshot as 'template bungle 2' and '.. bungle 3' which from my perspective pretty much describes the situation.

BG01.exe installs 5 images called BG01.jpg to BG10.jpeg
Post updated Typo should read BG-A06.jpeg to BG-A10.jpeg
They should be at the bottom of your BG library.

As mentioned in an earlier post each graphics .exe installs 4 or so images.

As for the bonus folder, That does not install from BG01, it is part of the Templates Bungle 1 called VS_Bonus.exe
i am sure i did not have a problem installing that when running Windows 7

I think you are talking at cross purposes again - because David is so pedantic and Trevor is a bit loose with names etc.

having installed all the graphics pack I have numerous 'BG' files in the 'Background' library - - BUT - there is no BG01 anywhere - what I do have is BG-A01 to BG-A10 along with BG-B01 to BG-B10 and BG-C01 to BG-C10 and BG-D01 to BG-D10 and BG-E01 to BG-E05

I see most of these in your attachment showing your library Davidk so you do have them - just not a BG01 to BG10 -- so Trevor do you really have BG01 to BG10 because neither I or David do and I am sure I installed all bonus graphics packs - or do you mean you have BG-A01 to BG-A10

Same issue, again with Win 7, no images called BG01-BG10
For what its worth this is what the graphics show in the library

VSX10
Color Pattern 50
Color 15
Background 50
Frame 55
Object 110
Flash 40

VS2018
Color Pattern 25
Color 15
Background 25
Frame 25
Object 50
Flash Animation 40

VS2019
Color Pattern 50
Color 15
Background 75
Frame 55
Animation 13
Object 125

The relevant folders all have basically the same content, there are a few variations, so why is VS20128 missing more than 140 items

Unable to check with Win 10, as VS is not installed

Hi
Apologies for the wrong description of the BG_01.exe installation files
That exe file installs 5 images called BG-A06.jpeg to BG-A10.jpeg
If you wish to test this without affecting Video Studio, first close the program
Rename the VSPContent folder to VSPContent_old
Then double click the file BG01.exe, that will create a new VSPContent folder and Decoration folder containing the new images installed by running BG01.exe
You can now install BG02.exe to see those images
When you have had enough rename the folders again to re-instate the original VSPContents folder.
And if you like any images simply move them to the VSPContents – Decorations folder.

I've got those. BUT further confusing the matter is that at first look, the "embedded" background thumbnails (the ones which come with the original VS installation) seem to be sorted/displayed in alpha sequence, so other backgrounds would logically follow suit.

Wrong. The extras are added to the backgrounds thumbnail list at the very end - way out of alpha sequence. A few others like BG-C07 and BG-E06 also in this mish-mash. Not evident in the list unless you scroll right down to the bottom, certainly not evident in the thumbnail pane as presented when backgrounds is selected, and you won't see them in the screenshot I posted earlier - because frankly with alpha sort evidence before me, I looked no further.

It always seems to be the little things. pity Corel doesn't think that way . . .

In the top right corner of the library is the option to "sort by name" - using that puts the background library into the correct Alpha-numeric sequence

I had it set to default - ie, didn't change it from the installed setting. And altho mouse hover over the A-Z icon shows 'sort clips in the library', it doesn't say what it is actually set to. Nevertheless, when clicked, 'sort by name' appears (no other options) click and it does that, but just for the backgrounds.
The label says 'sort clips in the library' and while that could be read as meaning the whole library, it actually only affects the library that is currently open (in this case, backgrounds). To get alpha sorting for other libraries (eg, graphics: color patterns) you have to repeat this process for each one.

And it does hold thru a close and re-start of VS2019 - something that isn't always the case.

Little things . . .
