PictureShow v4 Trial keeps crashing

Hi All,
I am using the trial version with a view to buying the sofware, if I can ever get it to work that is.
I set up a small project of 10 pics with a 1 background MP3, when I start the render process it gets to about 49% of rendering the slideshow 1/1 and I get the Windows box saying " This program has encountered a problem and needs to close".......

I tried without the backgroud music and tried just creating a disc image but it still crashes at the same point. I have disabled all backgroung tasks that load on startup and I have also tried stopping some of the WIN XP system processes that are non essential - but still it crashes at the same point. I have even tried uninstall - manually deleted all registry entries I could find - then reinstall, and guess what "it still f****** crashes" pardon my french.

I am using a clean install of WIN XP Home SP2
All the latest Graphic, Sound and VIA chipset drivers installed
System spec are :

NEC DVD 1300A Writer
2 X 160gb ATA133 HD
Asus A7V8X Mobo, 1gb PC3200 Ram AMD XP2800+ CPU
Creative Audigy 2 ZX
Nvidia FX5700 Graphic

I currently am using Photo2DVD Studio 3 for creating my Photo CD/DVD (or should I not mention that here)

and they all burn great, but the Ulead software has adjustable pan and scan settings that I would like to use and generally looks like a slicker program.

PS: Is the full program any diffrent to the trial, ie with some companies they issue the trial still with a lot of bugs in it but the retail version seems to run OK.[/img]

I have Version 4 (full) that I bought over a week ago. Have contacted the technical support along with the help of a reply on this Forum and I am still having the same problem that I seem to get to 49% or slightly more and have the same reporting error.

I have done a full re-install (cleaned my cache and temp files) and reduced the resolution, increased a few tngs that tech asked me to do with memory and also turned off all my screen saver/hard disc settings to no avail.

To date I have paid for this and cannot get it to burn to file or disc.

I am waiting for a reply from the tech people agin...

Can anyone else get version 4 to burn and run ok?

I got a reply from techsupport. Bryan told me that if they get a fix, they'll let me know. He was not able to indicate when that might be. Chris

I too have had several crashes as well as the failing at 71% when it's burning. I e-mailed tech support and they said to uninstall and reinstall. They also said there are many reports of problems and they are working on them.

I've requested a refund and will try version 4 later once they finish with the Pay Ulead in full first Beta Program....
