Hi there,
I have been using Corel 2019 since it was first launched and I have not had any major issues with it.
Today, I used it in the morning and following from that there was some Windows 10 update. After the update, I did a few things in Corel including stupidly deleting a title folder (I had a few template folders saved), which caused a crash. Since then, have tried multiple times to restart the programme, but Corel starts with the opening box and stays like that for 2-3 minutes and eventually disappearing from the monitor.
After so may attempts to try to start the programme, I did the fresh reinstall - but this made no difference.
I had a look to check if I could delete some updates, but I was weary about it and deleted one of them, but that made no difference.
Can you please help?
Thanks,
Leszek

Can we assume you tried opening it after a reboot?
And what exactly was the "title folder" you deleted?

- Try resetting VS by renaming the '22.0' folder to '22.0 old' (folder is C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\22.0). If VS opens, it will generate a new 22.0 folder. If it still won't start then ...
- Uninstall using the Clean-Up tool for Video Studio (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=59847) and then reinstall.

In the title section of the programme, I created various folders for my templates. I accidentally deleted one of them and that prompted the crash. I have tried to open it several times but the programme didn't open.

Re: Corel VS 2019 won't open
Does the deleted folder appear in your Windows Recycle Bin? If so, you could right click on it and restore it to where it was. And then you could try reopening VS again...

Re: Corel VS 2019 won't open
I believe Leszek is referring to the media library, the Title library where we can Create / Add our own library folder.
It is one of these folders that Leszek deleted
I could be wrong but thats how i read this post
Leszek, did you try resetting the program as mentioned earlier by tletter

Thanks for all the replies.
I have contacted Corel and they advised me to the following:
Kindly make use of the below steps.
To fix the launch failure in Corel VideoStudio, please replace a file in your installation.
Instructions to replace file:
1. Download file "iEncoder.dll": http://cdn.pinnaclesys.com/SupportFiles ... ncoder.zip
2. In Windows Explorer, browse to C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel VideoStudio 2019\Common Files\MPEG
3. Copy and paste the DLL file into this folder.
4. Start Corel VideoStudio.
IT WORKED 100%!!!

Re: Corel VS 2019 won't open
Why replacing a DLL fixes your deletion of a "title folder" is a mystery. Furthermore the DLL that they gave you is dated 1/2/2019, yet that DLL is dated 5/15/2019 in my installation of VS2019. Thanks for the update on this issue
There was the same problem using X10 and 2018 where Corel did provide that hot fix
This post refers, viewtopic.php?f=88&t=65289
I was about to post those details, you beat me to it
I will update that to include 2019
you would have thought being an issue with x10 and 2018 that 2019 would not have this problem?
