Corel Videostudio hang on 1% loading a VSP file (then crash)

Hello.

I'm using Videostudio 2019 64bit, on Windows 10.
Yesterday I encountered an error editing a footage (something like "wrong parameter", very strange) so I saved the file, and closed the program.

Then I restarted Videostudio, but now, when i try to open the project file, it hang on 1%, Vstudio.exe start filling up the RAM (up to 14 Gb full), and Windows 10 Crashes, after 3 minutes.

The program works normally with Any other VSP file.

I installed the trial of VS2019 also on another PC, but opening this specific file, the issue is the same.


Anyone want to try this file?
I lost like 8 hours of editing

Yes we can try but corrupt VSP files are usually impossible to fix
I assume we can open trial version vsp’s?????
Zip your VSP to attach to your post or re-name to use .txt as its extension which will allow you to attach.

if it does open we will get a re-link request but we will not be able to view your project clips.
Worth a try.
Problem is if we can open best we can do is save the VSP, unfortunately you will not be able to open that using the Trial.
The trial cannot open VSP's made with the full version.

Unfortunately I am unable to open that project, same issue stalls program at 1%, I used Task Manager to close the program before any other issues.
Trying to import the vsp to the library -- again the memory does ramp-up to full but recovers straight away allowing me to cancel the import.

If you have not done so can you contact Corel Support, I am sure they are aware of problems with the program but the more that report issues the better chance we will have of getting a fix.

I am sure we all feel the next service pack is well overdue.

Your VSP drives memory utilization to 100% afterwhich the system ceases to respond so your corrupt VSP acts as malware

VS sometimes corrupts a VSP when saving it and there is no way to recover it which is why saving different versions of a VSP is worthwhile.

Check that these files and paths are on your system (taken from your VSP).

This VSP drives memory utilization to 100% followed by a system freeze-up. Even when all source material referenced in a VSP is not addressable, I've never seen VS respond like this. This VSP seems to be terminally corrupted.

All the source files are in the right path...
As Tletter said, I suppose that there's nothing to do. I'll re-edit everything in Corel VS X10, decisiously more stable.
