Video Studio Ultimate Crashing When Adding Files

Post by lawgiver_ape »

I’ve been using VS Ultimate ‘18 for over a year without any issues but recently it seems to crash whenever I try and add any files (.mov, Mpeg, even jpg). Or if I can add them, dragging them into the timeline causes a crash. I’ve made no changes to either my OS or any other settings.

As I wanted to upgrade to Ultimate ‘19 I decided to do so as assumed this would solve the problem - but no, identical issue in exactly the same circumstances as before.

I’ve tried the fixes I’ve found online - library refresh, running as administrator, to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.

Please confirm your computer specs, you state you have Win 10 32 bit, is that correct because VS 2018/2019 are 64 bit only

Look at Event Viewer and see if there is an event there (see example in following image).
