Bulk remove all transitions?
Hey all, is there a simple way to delete all the transitions on timeline? I had added crossfade to all and now client wants all removed. I have over 100 LOL.

Re: Bulk remove all transitions?
No simple way
If you remove the clips and add again, provided you have set the Preferences the transitions will not be added
Create a copy of the vsp so you have the original as a backup
Set preferences so transitions are not auto inserted
Create a new library page
Drag all clips to the library
Delete the clips from the timelines
Drag clips back to the timelines
All clips with no transitions
The project length will change, any other overlay or text clips will be out of sync.

Re: Bulk remove all transitions?
There doesn't appear to be a way to select all the transitions and remove them. If you've added filters, including pan & zoom, to the clips then I'd suggest that 100 selects & deletes on the transitions is the way to go with ripple editing enable.sealilly wrote:Hey all, is there a simple way to delete all the transitions on timeline? Re: Bulk remove all transitions?
It's possible seal, you just need to premake a cut transition as your favorite and than you can apply it in one click to replace all.
So how one makes a "cut" transition ? with vitascene .
select that transition, in it go to mask presets, in it's keyframes bar make 2 adjustment keyframes in the middle where the first is full on A and the second full on B .
save that as your trans favorite
now you can apply it to replace all your crossfades

Sounds very useful Asik1 - can you explain where I find the "replace all" option in Videostudio please

Re: Bulk remove all transitions?
OK - thanks - never realised that actually replaced what was already in the timeline
