Strange Behaviour Using Save As

Post by Stub Mandrel »

My copy of Paintshop Pro X9 is acting strangely when I try to save images.

If I select PNG, it saves my image as a .PIC file.
If I select TIFF, it saves my image as a targa .TGA

It's giving me the previous format on the list.
Is this a known problem or something that's got muddled on my system?

I don't have the issue with other programs.

PSPx9 is 3 years old, now. Did you have this problem previously?
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

You could also try resetting the program by holding down the Shift key when you click on the PSP desktop icon to open it. You should get a message asking if you want to reset. Before doing this, though, you might want to save any Customized workspace as otherwise it will be lost with the reset.

Thanks ken,

I will try a reset, never come across that before and I've been using Windows since 3.1!
