Timeline dosen´t move when play film ?

When I press play and the film starts and the "Marker" disappears from the page to the right , the timeline does not follow. I have to stop the film and move the timeline manual every time.
Is there any setting so that the timeleline follows the image when playing the movie?

I never knew that either, I guess I was lucky it was at the correct setting all the time.
