Digimarc? unable to invoke specified plugin?

Post by brucefl »

I just installed PI10, and was playing around with the digimarc. I get the error, Unable to Invoke the specified plugin. The system memory may be low. (2401:2401:408) I have plenty of memory, 1 gig. It isn't grayed out, so my understanding that it should be available?
thanks Bruce

Does this happen all the time? Try to restart your computer, run PhotoImpact and load Digimarc once more...

Look in File>Properties, and find the plugin options to see if the info is correct. Also check memory settings to see if PI is set to use all available memory.

All I find in prefernces, general/plugins is a place to name additional folders?
Don't see a place in preferences on memory.

Digimarc isn't a plug-in that I have to add from teh bonus cd or something?
Thanks

The PhotoImpact that you purchased usually comes with the trial version of the Digimarc Plug-In. If you want to enjoy its full functionallity you'll have to buy the full version plug-in.

How the trial plug-in doesn't work with your PhotoImpact is quite perplexing. Try installing the update pack from the Ulead website to improve the stability of your PhotoImpact installation (the patches only work for the full version).

I thought that Photoimpact can use Photoshop plugins....it accepts .8bf plugins....see: http://thepluginsite.com/resources/

This link shows how to install Photoshop compatible plugins in Photoimpact

I have been experiencing the same troubles with the Digimarc watermark error.

I am a Digimarc subscriber and this is nutty.
I used to be able to use this just fine in older versions of PhotoImpact.
Have not been able to use it since I bought the new version.
Works fine with my Photoshop CS2.

Thanks

Many of the new PS plug-ins do no longer work with PI. Contact Adobe to complain about that

Adobe states they changed the plugins between 7 and 8.

I can get the older version of 7 plugins to work. Only half of the CS2 plugins work in PI.

I have additional plug-ins installed, if I select the Digimarc plug in it gets overlooked and the next plugin on the list runs.

If the Digimark plug-in don't work with PI 11 why supply it. That has nothing to do with Adobe.
