I'm configuring WinDVD 12 for an enterprise. We do not allow users to update their own software or to send/receive messages from a vendor (Corel). Does anyone know how I can disable both the Check for Updates button and Messages in the GUI?
Thanks.

Hi
Sorry I do not know how to do that you will be best to contact Corel Support although I can imagine their answer.
I don’t really understand why you would stop a user updating their own software, I assume each person has their own copy of the program!
Whatever, Corel Support to help here……

Working in a very large enterprise - 88,000 users, version control is a must for security and support. Not all of our users have permissions to download and / or install software.
Many times these type of configuration can be made via the registry. I'll try Corel Support.
