I have VX9
I have a sound clip...women yaking away....in the background a continuous 'truck' is heard...a gentle ( but annoying ) pitch...continuous..like a lorry loading something.....noticeable for sure.
Audacity? cant seem to work it out...wont let me upload clips..and when I do...at best...cancelling out the lorry...well it doesn't really..but makes my sound clip worse!! womens voice up n down.
I also have an annoying loud bloke talking in background. I don't suppose any way of just getting rid of the bloke is there..the voice. I did use a lapel mic on the person who was talking.
very annoying man in background of my sound clip..

If the nuisance sound is fairly constant then the noise reduction feature in Audacity should significantly reduce it.garjobo123 wrote:... in the background a continuous 'truck' is heard...a gentle ( but annoying ) pitch...continuous..like a lorry loading something
If you have two voices and want to eliminate one then it would be difficult which is why the sound is best monitored as it's recorded.garjobo123 wrote:I also have an annoying loud bloke talking in background. I don't suppose any way of just getting rid of the bloke is there..the voice.

For the truck noise, moreover, Audacity would need to have access to a very clear few seconds where only or mainly only the truck noise was audible. Then it might be able to filter it out. But by the sound of it, your video does not appear to have that, but only foreground and background noise combined...

Re: very annoying man in background of my sound clip..
These are very difficult issues even we have already excellent sound tools. I would recommend the noise reduction and the auto ducking function in Audacity.
Put on the upper track the noisy original and put on the bottom track the same sound ( in synchron). Now activate on upper track the ducking function and play with the settings. Ideally you will get the double level of the voice and the noise between the voices will be heavily reduced. You have to play with the setting to get the best result. ( maybe you should compress in level the bottom track to get a better result and a stable voice). If you have some ambient sound on your video ( in worst case you can add some low level music noises etc), than the modified voice will be less disturbing. ( the background noise will mask the effects from the Audacity.)
