VS2019 Ultimate installation glitch

Firstly, apologies if this has been covered previously... I searched the forum & found similar posts for vs2018 however they didn't help!!

I've just installed VS2019 Ultimate and the program itself seems to have installed correctly however I don't believe the bonus stuff has installed completely... I seem to be missing Boris fx although there's a whole bunch of files/folders for it under programs.

I'm new to VS so don't know what to expect - is there a list somewhere of what I should have so I can see if anything else is missing?

Is there any way to manually install any missing components such as Boris?

It's a new Windows 10 laptop & I've tried restoring it from the system image & reinstalling VS Ultimate from scratch

Any guidance for a newbie greatly appreciated!

Boris Graffiti has not been provided with Video Studio 2019, I do not know why Corel took that decision.

You can manually install the Bonus Features which form the Ultimate package
I would advise that you run the full package from the setup_Bonus.exe file
found here.
\64bit\BonusFeature

If you try installing individual plugins you may cause problems with activation.

I'm not sure what Graffiti is but 2019 Ultimate should include Boris FX - it's installed various stuff on my drive but there's also a broken Start Menu link (the file it points to is missing)



In VS there's nothing except a logo appears when Boris in selected under fx...



I've tried a fresh install with no result so was wondering if the BorisFX items could be imported to VS (assuming they exist in my drive)?

Apologies for the confusion

Boris Graffiti an FX filter was / is provided with earlier versions but has been dropped with 2019
There is a FX BCC Title Studio aka Continuum Title Studio that is also part of Boris but should be installed and working
Just to confuse things we also have NewBlue Titler Pro
All are forms of title editors
Not to forget the original programs title editor, select the “T” to the right of the preview screen
The start menu I see one option for Boris Continuum documentation, all plugins and filters have to be used from within the program.

The BCC is used by dragging the thumbnail to any clip on the timeline, double click the clip to open the Options Panel where you should see the filter
Choosing Customise Filter will open the Continuum 2019 editor ( BCC Title Studio), would help if they stuck to one name.

Thanks for the very helpful reply - I was confused as there is a Boris folder in the programs folder on my drive implying it had installed BorisFX!

Still get the feeling I'm missing something but there's a lot to learn so I guess it will make more sense when I've used it for a while!

Do you think it's all installed as it should be then???

Yes i would hope it is all installed ok, however some have had problems where the filters have installed yet not showing in the library
Usually a program reset cures that.

First see how it goes and if you need other screenshots just ask.

My 'All' looks to be the same as yours but what does yours show if you select 'Boris' from the dropdown?
