Restoring possible?

Post by psphufi »

I tried to clean this photo from its dirt using the clone tool but it is very arduously. Is there another way in PSP X9?

Thank you
Norbert

Such work is arduous, I agree, and can only be done manually.

Other tools may also be used:

You may also use the Color Replacer tool (not the Color Changer tool):

Hello,

Thinking outside the box - something I have done fairly successfully. If you have an iPhone and if Siri can recognize the language, than dictate everything into an e-mail. When done, correct errors then either copy it directly into a blank PSP file or first into an MS Word document to change the font then copy it into a new PSP file. You can rearrange the text and embellish the background. This is not quite what you expected but since the background has so many color variations, "think outside the box."

Good Luck,
Ira

@all

Many thanks for the hints with several tools! I will try out them all. But it is always tricky...
I wish to clean also each letter, which is nearly impossible. But if I would be able to clean the background half-decent it wood be okay. In this way one can see the older 'look'.

"Thinking outside the box":

This is a very good idea! The inscription is not old enaugh to be historic but it have to reserve.
I will even try to find out if your idea is possible; and after this work I may try to give this 'new' picture an 'older' look...

You all made me 'thinking and trying' ...

Thank you!

If you wish to see my results let me know.
