I just got this pop-up from Windows 10 Defender

Translated into English it says:

Threat found - Serious - Action needed
date and time

Status : Active
Active threats are not resolved and will be executed on your device

Threat detected : TrojanWin32/Azden.A!.cl
Warning level: Serious
Date: 06.sep.2019 13.03
Category: Trojan horse
Details: this program is dangerous and executes commands by a malicious user

More information..=link ( I didn't go there)

Involved items:
Link to the cleanup tool on my device.

I have been downloading cleanup tool from here for years and now this?? Is this Windows Defender going OTT or?
Just thought I let you know?

I removed the tool, emptied the bin, closed the system down and restarted it.

I can tell you that the file came from a legitimate source at Corel but I will follow-up with them. Thanks for reporting.

Hi Guys
Two days ago I ran the Cleanup tool for PSP 2020 with no problems or reports, and as a test have run the tool again successfully.

I do not use Defender as my McAfee does my virus scans etc. and that did not report anything suspicious

Scanning the file using McAfee showed no issues.

Defender probably flags the Cleanup tool because the tool has the ability to alter the registry and delete unwanted PSP items from the registry to do its cleanup task. Perhaps Corel added something to the tool that causes Defender to think it has a Trojan, but if you downloaded it from here then it will be safe regardless. I don't use Defender having successfully relied on AVG and Malwarebytes for many years instead.

Corel has provided an updated tool and I've replaced it. The original file was not a threat but since it failed the digital-sign it was flagged by some anti-virus software.

I never doubted the reliability of the source as I only download the tool from this forum. Wouldn't know where else to get it from. :D
I wasn't using the tool. I wasn't even using PSP at the moment of the popup.
Have downloaded the new version now. Thanks.
