Pick Color dropper not working in 2018

So, this has been going on for months now, but the pick color dropper in White Balance correction box is not working. I can click on it, but it does not show up on the preview window when I try to choose a white area. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I assume you are using the Correction tab – Color Correction
I do not have a problem in using the dropper to select a white area, the dropper shows on the preview screen and when selected the Show Preview panel
If you select one of the presets “ Daylight” at 5500 does that work?

What type of video are you using, maybe it’s the type that is relevant?

I do not recall this being reported before, the only recommendation to fix would first to try resetting the program or a re-install, even so not sure that would change things……………

Thanks for the reply Lata. It does not work on any video. Everything else works, but not the dropper. It has not worked for months now. I wish Corel would ad a color balance feature that would allow us to adjust the RGB colors individually. I use multiple cameras in my productions and they don't always capture the same hue of the same scene. When mixing footage from them, I need to be able to fine-tune the hue to make the videos match. The dropper function is much more effective at this then the Hue slider or auto white balance.

The video file you see in this screen capture, is a file produced by VS using a standard preset, so there should be no compatibility problems with the video file.

Does the picker work on the little preview to the right
The main preview screen shows the video having the yellow resize handles, this indicates the Scale Mode is selected, that icon is located below the preview screen far right icon
Deselect that to remove the yellow bounding box and the dropper should work.

Hope i caught you before you have re-installed.

Thanks. I had already uninstalled and reinstalled by the time I saw this, so I cannot tell if this was the problem. Might have been as simple as that. man I wish I would have seen this first. What a ton of work I went through, maybe for nothing.
