Hello, I would like to have control of the PNG file size when exporting using PNG Optimizer (or by another means) in the same way as you have control with a JPEG Optimizer. When I create a large transparent image for the web, and use PNG export, the file size is much to big (2M). Is there a way of reducing the file size?
Best regards.

PSP doesn't have much in the way of PNG compression. Though, to be fair, most tools don't. PNGs can only be compressed so far as they don't throw away data like JPEGs do. You can assist by decreasing the size of the image, or by switching to a paletted image if you only need a few colors.
Switching my test image from 16.7 million colors down to 256 took my image from 9MB to 808Kb. But it then restricts to you to single color transparency.
If you can get away with a paletted image, I recommend services like TinyPNG as they will compress your image using PNG-8 format which is a nice in-between of a paletted image and full transparency. PSP doesn't officially support this mode, so save the PNG like normal, then use the service to do the final compression.
