Hi all,
Video Studio 2019 question
I have looked and looked but I cannot find an answer to this one if it is possible at all
I am working on a music video with multiple tracks. I want to create split screens (2-3 at a time) for all the different clips but I would like to be able to sync the audio like I can in the multi clip editor before creation of the split screen. I used the same audio while creating the tracks so they sync up perfectly in the multi track editor but from there I cannot make a split screen. I am sure I am missing something very simple (I hope that's the case).
If anyone has any ideas or a tutorial I may have missed I would greatly appreciated
thank you for reading this far

Re: Synching audio while applying split screen
Hi Mark
I don’t think there will be any tutorials in MCE and Split Screen
How long are your recordings and how many separate recordings?
As an idea
Use MCE set the project name to Video 1
Sync your video files and separate audio.
Choose camera 1 for the entire video selection, crop the beginning and ends where appropriate.
Return to the timelines will show the project VSP in the library as Video 1
Double click that vsp to open the MCE again , save as Video 2
Replace the selection to use video 2 file instead of Video 1
Close to return to the timelines
Repeat for video 3
You now have three projects, different camera angles all in sync.
Now launch Split Screen and set, use the VSP’s
If those do not work that well you may have to render the VSP to a video file
Render each in turn and you will have 3 separate video files in sync
Using Split Screen select these files, should work

Re: Synching audio while applying split screen
Thank you Lata (Trevor) !
I ended up doing something similar (thanks for the idea). I put each clip in MCE one at a time and added the master audio track the synced it. I zoomed in and note the time on the clip where the master audio started, went back into edit the file and cut the beginning off the video at that point. So far it seems to work. It's a bit time consuming but less clutter at the end. I have 13 clips and 4-5 small clips that have to all end up as one. Thank you again for your response!
