I have PSP7 and am wondering if there is a plugin or software to make the white rectangle in the bottom pic fit to the curve of the cylinder. Also to do the same thing with text
I know how to curve it in the top pic.

Re: curve to cylinder help
Hi
Not really tried to curve the panel
But if you can do with the top image, assuming the top image is 3 times taller, then rotate by 90 degrees would that be what you are after?

Re: curve to cylinder help
Not really because if I have text on the label it would be vertical.
Thanks for responding

Re: curve to cylinder help
Hi
Apply the text after rotating the image.
You can use Effects - Geometric effects – Cylinder Vertical or Horizontal may give the impression of text on a curved surface.
Wouldn’t the text be on its side when placed on the lower can?

Re: curve to cylinder help
I sort of got it. I cropped the text into 3 sections and used the geometric effects/ skew on each the top and bottom thirds to get the shape.

Re: curve to cylinder help
Don't remember if PSP 7 has the Mesh Warp Tool.
If yes, this can be done:
- Increase Canvas size to add some space around the label (screen capture Original).
- Mesh Warp tool and deform the horizontal center to the right (see screen capture Step 1).
- Mesh Warp tool with modified Mesh vertical and deform upper and lower label edge to the left (screen capture Step 2).

Re: curve to cylinder help
The way to do this may be to first turn the can so that the circular parts are at top and bottom. Then PSP7 can, I believe, shape text to curves. Giving the bottom of the text some padding or moving the text block upward will be a choice OP makes. OP will end by laying the completed can down on its side.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.
