I can't seem to change the font for the new "3D Text" in VS2019 and KEEP the changes with more than one line of text...
When I utilize the pull-down menu and change the font from the selection, the display/preview changes - as long at it says "3D Text" (default) - once I hit ENTER to create a 2nd line,
the font changes back to the original Template / Default font, no matter what I do.
I tried highlighting the text, re-typing the text, closing the new 3D text to 'save' it... nothing seems to change the "3D Text FONT" once you choose a Template from the list shown and try to add a 2nd line of Text.
Steps to Replicate:
- open 3D Text
- Choose a Template from the list
- you can change the FONT at this point...
- Type some Text
- Hit ENTER to start a 2nd line of text within the input box
= FONT reverts to DEFAULT "3D Text" style font
How to change the Font to ..anything and keep it, in VS2019u? Thanks

Re: Cannot change Font for 3Dtext (2+ lines in VS2019 Ult)
I followed your workflow pretty exactly (though confess I hadn't used 3D Text before). But I couldn't replicate your problem. See attached image. Initially I tried using Shift+Enter to go to a new line since that key combination overrules formatting in other Windows programs. It went to the second line and kept the chosen font. So then I simply used Enter to create the new line, but again it used the same font.

Interesting - thanks a lot for trying it out - I will do some more troubleshooting/playing with it and see what happens!Ken Berry wrote:I followed your workflow pretty exactly (though confess I hadn't used 3D Text before).
