Paintshop Pro 2020 Crash!
Hi all.
Anyone else having psp 2020 crash to desk top when saving a layered image to psd?
I had to use 2019 to work in yesterday because 2020 crashes and I loose all the work I had done.
Checked for updates. Nothing there.

I can't help with 2020 as do not have it, but don't forget to turn on Autosave in the Settings. That way if the program crashes you may get the file back, up to the last auto saved point.DPainter wrote: because 2020 crashes and I loose all the work I had done.

Re: Paintshop Pro 2020 Crash!
PSP 2020 just closes with lots of random activities: saving to ,pspimage, applying random filters, you name it .
Note to Simone: while the team is at it, please change Autosave back to 5 minutes, 15 minutes is too long to wait. I'm having to save after each new task on an image.

Thank you Simone. I've just installed this now.Simone Corel UK wrote:@DPainter

It's a shame I don't come here that often so I've just been using 2019 for PSD format. I have opened 2020 and used the "check for update" tab. With no updates available I just assumed the issue hadn't been fix yet.
What I'm saying is not everyone who owns PSP would come to or even know off this forum so they would still be working with a program that isn't fix.
It would be prudent for Corel to make this hot fix a update that can be accessed via the Help/check for update tab. After all isn't that what it's there for?
Thank you (the team) for the fix.

I am having problems with 16 bit RGB PSD images in PSP2019.DPainter wrote:Hi all.

1) Open 16bit RGB TIFF - OK. Resize and save as PSD.
- Open the new file and it crashes
2) Open 16bit TIFF, convert to 8bit RGB, resize and save as PSD - OK
- New file opend OK.
Looks like there is a problem with 16bit PSD files. What bit depth are yours?
I think I will have to work with TIFF until its fixed.

Re: Paintshop Pro 2020 Crash!
Hi
I have just created / saved a few image as 16bit Tif
Saving as PSD worked ok, yes I have applied the hotfix.
I have no problems in using these files in either 2019 or 2020

Re: Paintshop Pro 2020 Crash!
I do not know if the PSD save issue was affecting 2019
the hot fix provided only shows as for 2020
Even so i did not have a problem
Unfortunate that i did not test 2019 until after applying the 2020 hot fix

@roberts-end: A hot fix made for PSP2020 only works in context to 2020.
If you experience issues with PSP2019, then please contact our support team, and we will run a test.

Re: Paintshop Pro 2020 Crash!
Thanks. Seems my issue was caused by another program creating corrupt tif files.
