Adding PSP 2020 to right-click menu

Post by pledden »

How do I know if I am adding the 32bit or 64bit version to my right-click menu. I have looked at both 'About' versions but can see no difference.

Thank you
Peter

If you are talking about the right click menu > Open With in Windows Explorer > Pictures, I get a range of options, including PSP 2018 32 and 64 bit; PSP 2019 32 and 64 bit; and now also PSP 2020 32 and 64 bit. These all appeared automatically after installing the programs.

Or are you talking about some other right click menu?

If you are talking about the context menu that Ken is talking about, the easiest way is to look down the two menus to find PSP. If your PSP is notc there, you will have the opportunity to navigate to it. After you find it and open it once, it will appear higher up on the series of menus in the context (right-click) stack. Normally, it will show up when you install it.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Maybe that is what pledden is talking about: that the PSP entry or entries did not appear automatically. If he had to enter it manually, I wonder if the version which appears just says "PSP" without indicating whether it is 32 or 64 bit. pledden would then have to remember what the version was when he entered it. But I imagine if he then entered (and probably opened) each version, they would eventually show up in the drop down menu.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but if you have to Browse to select your PSP version via the right click Menu, then you will find the 64 bit version in Program Files and the 32 bit version in Program Files (x86)
