Pic-toPainting with PSP 2020

Post by kbrkr »

I just upgraded from PSP 2019 to PSP 2020. I can no longer find Pic-to-painting and Perfectly Clear. Are these compatible with 2020 or is there a new and improved method to access them?

Just a thought, since I bailed out of PSP 2019 before I thoroughly explored it: Have you tried File > Preferences > File Locations? If you merely "upgraded" from PSP 2091 to 2020 you should still have your PSP 2019 in place. In 'File Locations' you can add C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro 2018 (64-bit)\PlugIns to your list of where to look for plugins. That would be the quickest and easiest thing to try. I don't know if it will work, though. You could try it and tell us if it works or not.

The reason I wonder is that I have PC plugins from PSPx7 and PSPx8 that work in PSPx10 (PSP 2018).
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

kbrkr -- do you still have PSP 2019 on your computer? If so, check to see if you can find a link to Pic-to-Painting there. I also seem to recall that Pic-to-Painting installs as a separate program and should remain even if you have removed PSP 2019. You should find it at C:\Program Files\Pic-To-Painting. You might also want to look in C:\Program Files\Corel\Plugins to see if the Pic-to-Paintin .8bf file is there.

Have you looked in the Get More list on the Home page of PSP? It's not on mine, but then again, all the free items have now been installed and no longer appear on the Get More list for me. You might want to look at where I recall finding it originally: it wasn't in the list itself but below it -- see my attached image.

Also, make sure you're using the 64bit version of PSP2020, not the 32bit version.

And perhaps you could update your profile with the info about the version you are using, as well as other computer information that might be helpful for us to help with future questions you might post.
