PSP 2020 Ultimate slow to open

Post by nopoint »

Wow - compared to 2019 PSP the new 2020 is very slow to open. My computer handles all other software quickly as it did for psp 2019. Are there setting that need tweeting on my end or does Corel need to tweet their end to speed up the opening or both of us. Suggestions?

I'm afraid ever version brings up people who say PSP is slow to open, while others say it is quite fast. For me, for instance, it takes 20 seconds to open the first time after booting up, and a little under 10 second on subsequent reopening of PSP in the same boot session. I consider the first opening time to be a bit slow, but in fact it is faster than it was for me in PSP 2019 and 2018. So exactly how long does yours take to open the first time?

One reason identified is the way you may have PSP set up. It may, for instance, be trying to build a database of all your images, which would slow things down considerably...

Is there a way to set it up so it does not try to do that?
