Suddenly in edit videos are laggy and chopped

Post by MikesMovies »

Hi guys

I have been happily editing the same kind of video file for some months (50fps 1080p) and now today VS is laggy and chopped in edit mode.
Done the usual clean ups, cleared the temp files and smart renders and rebooted the PC.

I thought it was due to three windows updates from today and uninstalled them but this made no difference.

Any tips?

Thanks
Kind regards from Mike in Sussex UK

Hi Mike
I assume you have used Smart Proxy, if so have the proxy files been removed.
Worth a check

One of my cleanup tools did find UPX files as needing to be removed.???????

Hi Mike

Just to confirm, when you view the clips on the timeline do they have the icon as image
