When using export jpg only tiny size screen for save as

Post by Buddy123 »

I have both Paintshop pro ultimate 2019 and paintshop pro x9 , now all of a sudden when I go to Export Jpg and it comes up with the screen to save as .... the screen is only very tiny and not showing full screen at all.... has anyone else come accross this, maybe I pushed a button by mistake or something.... just need it fixed .... it happens on both the psp programmes... I always for some unknown reason get problems with my psp at about this time every year , thats why I have puchased in the past x0, X2, X3, X7, X9 and 2019 ultimate.... and I do not wish to buy more...

I see you have had no comments and have also made a new similar post about docking / docked dialog boxes.
Possibly the reason you have not received any suggestions is that it is unclear what you are doing and what the problem is - ie what you mean by tiny might be acceptable to others..
1, Can you do a full screen shot. Reduce its size to 900 (950) pixels on the longest side and save as a jpg with compression 10 and then post it in your next post.
2. Describe what you are doing or trying to do.
You mention Export jpg does that mean you are doing
File > Export > JPEG Optimiser
or File > Save As

In his OP, Buddy mentioned "export." Since the PEG Optimizer is under Export, and not Save As, we should expect that. But you may be right.

@Buddy123: What kind of file originates the .jpg?
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Except that the OP says "when I go to Export Jpg and it comes up with the screen to save as" so it is confusing as
File > Export > JPEG Optimiser comes up with the Jpeg Optimiser screen rather than the Save As screen.

So File > Save As gives a Save as dialog screen
while
File > Export > JPEG Optimiser gives a JPEG Optimiser dialog.

When you use the jpeg optimizer to export, you are setting the size of the image in the optimizer and it will export/save that size. I get a Save Copy As where I can choose the folder to save in and change the filename if I want.

You initially puzzled me @rondo but now I have continued with the OK from the JPEG Optimiser and yes you do get a Save Copy as dialog box AND you cannot resize that box.

However there is also a File > Save Copy as which gives the Save Copy as dialog box but this one has a handle lower right so you can resize it.

So it appears that there are 2 slightly different Save Copy as dialog boxes but the one through the JPEG Optimiser cannot be resized. Strange!!!

But still we are not sure what method the OP is using and until they confirm we are just guessing.
