Or some some such wording. I spent many months trying to achieve a rotation to a selected object but was told about the pick tool just recently for selection rotation.
I agree with you rotation option is quite effective within the selection tool as per the experience.

Totally agree. The current size is pathetic. Important sliders should be easily accessible to the naked eye and not requiring getting close up to the monitor.

Would love to see the end of raster and vector layers and make everything work on a single layer type - the way PhotoImpact works.

I'd Like to see a stacking function similar to Photo Shop. Affinity haven't got it right from some research I've done. I know it is a BIG ask but it would be nice.

Greetings!

Well, it seems that PSP doesn't show any of the GIF file's own palettes when they're just opened into PSP. Not even right after PSP just saved and closed a GIF file it had just made by decreasing an image to 256 colors.

When I used PSP years ago, things were different. Any gifs opened by PSP would show the gifs' own previously saved built-in palette.

Now, I cannot edit any of my gifs with their own palettes.

What is wrong with simply flattening the image?

Whatever, Corel please do not do that. I will quit it in a nano-second if you do. No offense to the OP but layers are very necessary.

Here is my list just off the top of my head. I'll be happy to post back as I come across my many annoyances. Don't get me wrong, I use PSP (almost) exclusively and am very comfortable with using it, but that is really the only reason I use it besides cost. Also, I am using 2018, so I cannot say if these have been implemented in the latest releases but I have not upgrade for the very first two reasons, as well as warnings about how it gets worse each upgrade. I will when #'s 1 and 2 are done. The rest are in random order, as I think of them.
1. FULL SVG support to include its layers.
2. Conversion of rasters to vectors. If Inkscape and PS can do it, I know you can. I prefer PSP and would rather not switch.
* An easy and visible way to see object dimensions in pixels, inches, etc.
* Creating an insta-grid from 4 points that I select; no measurements required.
* Support for custom lines and end caps. Didn't PSP do this in previous versions?
* Fix bugs like the ones I have reported that were ignored, such as File > Preferences > File Locations (totally missing) AND zoom in during crop resets the crop so I can never see where the exact edge needs to be AND ctrl+s as well as any other keyboard shortcut no longer works. These happen in every version I ever use just right out of the blue.
* Speaking of sizes, I want customizable sizing of nodes. I am forever creating a new node instead of selecting the one node I need. Then because I cannot use keyboard shortcuts I have to click Edit > Undo instead of ctrl+z.
* Better support, overall.
* Video tutorials for every function. That's right. Learners need to learn how great PSP can be.
* Merging vector layers without forcing conversion to a raster. For example, if one layer has a square and another has a circle, I want to put the circle and square in one layer so I can create a pattern, or manipulate them in ways I desire.
I'll start another list and post later but these are my serious annoyances.

Oh and 1 tip for some complaints I saw earlier. If you have Windows 10, ads may be an issue because of Windows 10. Google how to remove ads in Window's 10 and it should work. I did it and it's great!

When I read the OP's post I took it to mean that he/she wanted all of the tools to work regardless of whether the image or layer was raster or vector, not that he/she wanted to work only on single layer files. I do, of course, stand to be corrected. :-)

You are correct JoeB. PhotoImpact's Object layers were the example they gave.

@magnoliasouth
I have never known PSP to support custom end caps. Even PSP8 doesn't have that ability as far as I can tell. Though it would be a nice feature, I'm just saying that it does not appear to be a feature they removed.
I don't know what this file locations bug is, file locations is available in the Complete workspace not the Essentials or Photography workspace.

Agree! Would like to see native support for HEIC format. Would save steps and give me confidence that PSP is using the best quality source for editing.

Hello everybody!

There are quite a few things I would like to see in PSP, so I'll probably come back with more.

For now some of my "biggies" from the top of my head:

1. Paste in Place
Invaluable when working with same dimensions images (the norm when working with maps). Enables copying a portion of the source image which gets automatically pasted exactly at the same spot in the destination image (in Ps you can even do that by holding down the Shift key while pasting or even dragging from one pic to the other)

2. More Adjustment Layers
Blur, Black & White, and Gradient Map would be great for starters. Also some of the existing ones do not work with vector layers (Vibrancy and Fill light/Clarify for example)

3. More Layer Styles, and enhanced existed ones

4. A modern way for handling channels
Making them a palette for example, like most image editors handle them these days (instead of separate windows)

5. Enhanced vectors functionality and the ability to vectorize raster layers

6. Keyboard shortcut for switching fg & bg colors.
Left-mouse = fg/Right-mouse = bg is great, but personally I've never managed to paint with the right mouse as precisely as I do with the left.

7. This is is very unlikely to change, but I really wish we could have non-modal dialogs that allow us to interact directly with the main image, instead of those Before/After Preview Panes dialogs. In general, I wish a GUI revamp is in Corel's plans soon.

I still have PSP 2018 ... I have not upgraded even if I try the new versions.. I have not really see new stuff a die hard user would use . New PSP getting more bloaty .. With what beginners would use more then die hard users ... and things are not fixed.
If I was Corel I would have just a new versions .. with everything fixed .Before adding new .. I would upgrade for sure if they would . Plus we have allot of suggestions for them here on the " Wish List" & 'What You like on this new version" threads . If They need help finding what to fix.
PSP is my first love , I started with PSP 7 30 years ago ..and Photoshop 3-4 years ago .. and still use both allot .. Plus I do the PSP Troubleshooter and PSP tutorials on my forum .. so I need to still have it .. since most of the members use psp ..

Here is my Wish List I guess I want it more like Photoshop ( sorry)
1: File/ Import / Custom Brushes Have the brush thumbnail preview to be adjustable size to see it is way to small to see the brush .. of what you are adding or removing..
2: Clipping Mask : Add right click Clipping Mask option like Photoshop .. to attach the layer to another layer ..with effects only apply to that one layer.. .. I know there is a longer way to to this already in PSP for text .. but it would be nice to have it easier ,, Right click attach..
3: Blending Modes : have a Fill option besides Opacity .. I use Fill option more the opacity works better if you are blending then opacity most times .... Keep improving and adding to Blend Mode Very powerful and useful tool.
4: Adjustment layers : Keep adding new and improve the ones you have .. this tools are your best friend with photo restore ..
5: Layer Styles.- Is Lacking allot ... Improve & Add More it needs to more like Photoshop layer styles .. Been asking for this and a Clipping Mask option for a couple years.. Have More on The Layer Styles area then running to Menu and looking .. I use Layer Styles more then anything .. in Photoshop when I make scrapbooking supplies. I hate the ball turning thing in PSP .. I like sliders better .
Add more options like Contour, Texture Pattern Color Overlay I know some of these are on tool palette or menu .. but they need to be add to with the layer styles area too even a shortcut or something ..

Thanks for reading this
