Hmmm... seems I didn't look far enough! Found and restored. Haven't yet found any other sticky, but will keep looking...

Ken Berry wrote:FWIW, I have now gone through 13 pages of the Admin Log and 11 pages of the Mod logs which in both cases took me back to 1 May 2019. Those logs cover literally everything that occurs on these forums by any of our registered Admin or Mods: post approvals and disapprovals, new users, banning of users, and other admin tasks. It also includes references to deletion of posts. In that period there was no reference to any deletion of the PLEASE READ post, or for that matter any of the other real or imagined stickies. I will go back before 1 May when I have the time, but suspect that will also not produce anything, given that you appear to be recalling something closer to the current time...
Ken, I'm not asking you to - nor should you be - going through logs to see what was deleted, but even having done so you must - by reading this thread - be aware that I am speaking of missing stickies within the past week. So why you would go back further is not something I would imagine you would do.

That said, I have also said "deleted or unstuck." Kathy said that the two PSP2019 posts were "unstuck" but not deleted. It is possible that the PLEASE READ THIS sticky was also unstuck and not deleted. In other words, searching for deleted posts won't might not find anything. Did you find when the two PSP1029 posts were "unstuck?" Because Kathy said that they were, so they DID exist as stickies - or she's completely mistaken about that also!

Sheesh again! This started out as a simple query about some stickies being no long stickies and wondering what happened to them. It's not rocket science or asking for someone to explain where all the dark matter is located. Is there absolutely nobody who moderates this board who is aware of what stickies were available as stickies prior to the release of PSP2020 to registered users and which are no longer stickies? Who unstuck the PSP 2019 stickies? Wouldn't that person know if he/she also unstuck any others?

And why do I care? Because I asked a simple question, a mod did say that at least 2 stickies were unstuck and no longer stickies, and a mod also said that it was possible other stickies are no longer available as stickies and/or that the PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING sticky was no longer available as a sticky, and yet neither that mod or any other seems to be aware of ANY stickies that existed prior to the PSP2020 release except the two PSP2019 stickies.

And I am wondering why I seem to be the only person on this board who seems to remember that there was a PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING sticky, and that could lead me to believe that I either have early onset dementia or that Fox News is correct and there are conspiracies all around us which dark forces are trying to keep us - or me at least - from discovering. I need help! :? :?:

Well, well, well. I had also just completed a search and sure as God created little green apples there was the PLEASE READ THIS post - unstuck! So I guess I can rule out early onset dementia. :-) And I also see that it has been restored, so thanks for that also!

What I don't understand is why whoever the mod was that unstuck it hasn't replied in this thread. Kathy seems to be the only mod who has posted replies, and one of them did imply that some stickies other than the two PSP2019 stickies might also have been removed as stickies, but even her posts were severely lacking in detail or explanation, which just made the mystery moreso. Worse than pulling teeth IMHO! I wonder why?

No need to unless it was something that new members or others stumbling into this board might find contains userful information. I just don't understand why any stickies except those particular PSP2019 should have been removed as stickies. :?

Hi Guys
we are having issues with spammers targeting this post, maybe the title using "Sticky topics" is attracting them.
I dont know, only that the spammers are getting on my nerves.
