Picture loading error in Videostudio 9 with patches

Post by matlander »

I"m getting an error message for the first time, trying to load a Jpeg that was made in Photoshop. The image has been flatened and is like 400 k,
the error message is that the file is either unkown file format, no memory or that it's copyrighted. How do I fix this? the image isn't any of these things, it was just created. If anyone can help i'd sure appreciate it

Hi Mat

Just tried a few jpegs with no problems.
You say its just started, did the images import ok before you applied the patch.

I soon as I tried the patch I started getting errors with VS 9.
Can’t remember any specifics, but reinstalled VS 9 without the patch and all is well.

Don’t know why I tried the patch as my program was working ok, why mend a toy when its not broken.

Photoshop:-

Did you know that Video Studio supports *.psd files.
If you create an image in photoshop with a transparent background save as *.psd.
Use in the overlay track.

sorry i can't help with the jpegs.

Thanks so much for your help! I know, if it's not broke why fix it? Probably some lame legal additive that they had to put in or something.
It's funny too, all my jpegs work exept for the one that was created in photoshop. I will try a PSD file too. That's the one filetype that I thought wouldn't work. Thanks again man....I'll probably just reinstall it without the patch.
