I have been using PhotoImpact since Version 5, and currently use Version 10. Recently I have been receiving the subject message while engaged in editing photos, and when I "X" out of it the message "Insufficient memory" appears. I am then unable to continue until I exit PhotoImpact and then reopen it. There is no particular pattern to this behavior; sometimes it appears the first time I open a picture, other times it appears after editing several pictures. It never appears during the editing process, it only appears when attempting to open a file. My machine is a 2.4 GHz Windows computer with 1 GB RAM. The hard drive in which PhotoImpact resides is 37.3 GB (27.4 GB free space) and the drive where my picture files are is 111 GB (87.9 GB free space).
All ideas and suggestions are welcome.
Thanks.

I took a look at your original post about your Save as problem and explored the program, but I can't see anything that could help you. I've noticed in the past that PI Tech Support's advice mostly consists of uninstalling and reinstalling. My problem began with PI XL, and I thought I could fix it by upgrading to PI 10, which I had planned to do anyway, but no such luck. Previous to this problem I had done a format and clean reinstall, as I usually do every year, and something may have gotten installed wrong that affects this program. However, all my other programs work normally. I wonder if ULead has an uninstall utility like Norton and Nero that completely cleans out the program? Might be worth asking them. I plan to do the same if the patch doesn't fix it.
By the way, if you uninstall and reinstall again, don't forget to delete the program folder in your Program files before reinstalling. Sometimes some old files are left in there.
