Everything worked before but now I get video but No Sound when working with M2TS files from my Cannon Cam.
The files play sound in other playback apps (ie Media Player) but not in VideoStudio Ultimate 2019 (but they used to??)
MP4 files from my little camera work but not the M2TS files from my good camcorder!
I am running Windows 7 with all updates and patches, VS Ultimate 2019 with all patches and updates. Everything worked until ....well, today???
I searched the boards and saw one other with this in his VS7, he said he found a box under "Settings" for 5.1 Sound that was not checked; I searched and do not see this setting anywhere in VS 2019.
I have tried with and without Hardware Acceleration (from another post) but no luck.
Please help, I have a lot of videos I took during our recent move and would love to put some home movies together!

Re: m2ts No Sound VS Ultimate 2019
I hate to tell you but Corel made the inexplicable decision to delete use of Dolby in VS 2019 for people using Windows 7 and earlier, and that is especially the case if, as I suspect, your camera films using 5.1 Dolby. Even for those with Windows 10, the most that VS 2019 can produce is dual channel stereo in Dolby but not 5.1.
Do you by chance have an earlier version of VS? If so, I would load your video in that, strip out the audio track, put it in something like the freeware Audacity, and convert it to .wav, then reinsert it in your video. Or else do your editing in the older version of VS.

Re: m2ts No Sound VS Ultimate 2019
Wow, that does Suck! I thought I had edited some from my Cam since upgrading (been using VS since around version 4 or 5).
Ok then, unfortunately I had removed my past versions (free up disk space) but I have some backups.....what a total PAIN!
Will also see if I can find my audio settings on the Cam and change them.....
Thanks for the response
