Starting in edit mode
How do I get PSP 2019 Ultimate to start in edit mode?
I looked in Preferences / General / Program preferences but the last in the list is "Tabs" and nothing about default start

Re: Starting in edit mode
Switch to Complete Mode if you are not (right-click inside an empty area of the workspace).
In Preferences, under Tabs, check 'Set Edit as default'.

Re: Starting in edit mode
Are you saying that changing to the Complete workspace then using Tabs preference with the Edit mode radio button selected doesn't open the workspace in Edit mode? If that is the case, you might want to try this. Open PSP and select the Complete workspace from the welcome screen. Then from the Edit screen again do the Tabs option, Edit mode radio button. Then make sure to Save that workspace. Then load that newly saved workspace. Then try closing PSP and opening it again. Let us know if that works. I have found, with various versions of PSP, that my saving and opening my preferred workspaces can be a finicky thing, and sometimes I have to save and load it a couple of times to make it stick.Jean-Luc wrote:Sorry, tested and it doesn't work on my version!Norfolkman6 wrote:Many thanks to you both.

Re: Starting in edit mode
I do exactly what you describe. It doesn't work on PSP 2020. It works on other versions.
I suspect the new workspace ("Photography") produces collateral damages...

Re: Starting in edit mode
Then we will have to wait until others who also have PSP 2020 reply and let us know if they also have your issue. Nobody else has reported yet that they can't open it in Edit Mode.

Re: Starting in edit mode
The first thing I did after installing the release version was to change to the Complete workspace and then set the program to open on the Edit tab (and not show Manage). Worked as simply as that.
