When trying to load a VSP, VS2018 simply shutdown without any error message. The solution was to delete "Uvavi.vio" in the "C:\Program Files\Corel\VideoStudio 2018\Corel VideoStudio 2018\vio\" folder.
What has been lost by deleting "Uvavi.vio"?
Thanks,

As you can guess vio is Video Input Output,
The name of that module relates to avi files
What's lost??? wait till the next VS2018 crash...
there is a vio dat file in your 21.0 folder where your formats data base is stored, you might get an issue.

Looks like Microsoft AVI files will not be properly handled but as I don't use that format it's of no concern at this time.asik1 wrote:The name of that module relates to avi files ... there is a vio dat file in your 21.0 folder where your formats data base is stored, you might get an issue.
The important thing is that I can now open and edit a VSP that took many hours to create.asik1 wrote:What's lost??? wait till the next VS2018 crash...
