How to relink ALL video clips when files on a different disk

Post by jparnold »

Forget this thread please. I realised after creating it that I could change the drive letter on the drive containing my video clips to the letter assigned to it when I created the project 5 years ago.

You don't need to change the drive letter since if the file structure is the same, VS will relink automatically if the "Smart search" option is selected.

Yes I know about 'smart search' and have used it before to relink everything successfully but for some strange reason it would not do it for the old project and VS ended up with "not responding" so I changed the drive letter successfully.
There must be some 'issues' with this old project as when I click on SHARE and then CREATE VIDEO FILE it takes forever for the window to display to select the type of video file I want to render to.
