Why does my video cut of in the program?

Why does my video cut of in the program?
I have Pinnacle studio 21 and when i open the video, which i have burned from a blu ray and run through handbrake to get it to an mp4 and when i open it it's seems like its zoomed in. Cutting of the rest of the image. See the images if you don't catch my meaning. I have tried zooming out and the image itself is still cut of no matter the size of the image. I dont get it because the regular video is fine when i play it on vlc. Did anyone else encounter this and figure it out?
