UPDATE:

I just got a reply from Corel Tech Support regarding my issue of not being able to get the tabs in Menu > View > Customize so that I could create a custom toolbar. I was wondering if the Trial version of PSP X9 deactivated certain features. The answer is no. Here is the reply I got, so if anyone wants to make a note in the event that someone else has this issue, here 's the answer:

"Regarding your concern, Switch your workspace first to Complete > Open the program > Welcome Screen > Start > choose Complete.

Then you may now proceed customizing your toolbar.
"

Thanks to everyone who helped with my issue. I appreciate your help and your patience.

Typical. As I noted above, the Essentials debacle did not start until PSP 2018. Put another way, there is no Welcome tab in PSPx9; at least there is none in my PSPx9. Switching Workspaces from Essential to Complete is the first thing most of us think of.
Had PS3, PSP3; Installed: PSP-4.12, 5.03, 6.02, 7.04 (liked it a lot & used it for years), 8.00, XI, x4.3.0.3, x6.2.0.20, x7.4.0.11, x8.3.0.13, x9.2.0.7; now using PSPx10 (PSP 2018; version 20.2.0.1 x64) on Win 10-64 b2004.

Artgal,
do you have PSP X9 trial or PSP 2019 trial? They are different versions.
From where do you download a PSPX9 version? There is no PSP X9 trial version on Corel's website if I am not wrong.
If you have PSP X9 trial, Corel's answer is totally out of topic!

My purchased download of PSPx9 lacks an Essentials workspace, so I think the advice you got was for PSP 2019, not PSPx9.
