I am using PSP 2018 and need help in baby steps with a problem. I have a picture that I want to send out to have a jigsaw puzzle made of. I have managed to remove the background BUT I want to use those little squares or something equivalent so that the puzzle will not be solid colors. I saved it with the little gray and white squares but opened it to work on it and of course, it is now a solid color.
Any help would be appreciated and with steps please!
Thank you -

Re: Help Replacing Background
Hi terri_h and welcome to the forum.
The little squares are simply there to show transparency. You can save your project as a PNG to preserve the transparency but unless this is being printed on glass there is no way to have a transparent background when printed. You will see the background color of the material it's printed on.

OK - I understand that but is there any way I can make the background in little squares or something similar so that it is not solid?

Re: Help Replacing Background
Yes, you can change the background to anything you want. See if this tutorial by Corel helps. They are using X4 but the steps would be the same for newer versions.

Try the Pattern in the Materials Palette.terri_h wrote: I want to use those little squares or something equivalent so that the puzzle will not be solid colors.
Each image open on the workspace may be used as a pattern too. Make a screen capture of the checkered transparency and you will use it as a pattern.
