Corel VS 2019- Shimmering

Hi very new to video editing here.

Using VS Ultimate 2019 here. When I playback footage captured from my Mavic 2 Pro through Windows 10 default player everything looks good, as soon as I import to Corel it looks like it has a shimmer on it especially around objects like buildings, windows etc. This is before I have edited it at all. I have tried to enabling smart proxy, hardware decoders etc all my drivers are up to date its a 2080Ti card. Corel support seems to be pretty stumped as to why this is happening as well.

Any tips, suggestions etc welcome

And welcome to the forums

If you have been in contact with Corel did you provide them with a video sample?
Are you able to do that for us, you would have to upload to a sharing site, One Drive, Google, DropBox etc.
Can you give more details as to the type of video file.

When you first added the clip to the timeline did you get a message to match the video files properties.?

If you right click the clip on the timeline, choose properties what are they?
Also go to Settings Project Properties (Alt+Enter) what are they?

Remote access was used what file format do i need to upload in as it says my project file is not valid?

Unfortunately I am getting a security warning when clicking that link, i am not willing to go there.

If you have saved an image of the properties panel you can attach that to your post.
Upload Attachment options at the bottom when writing your post

I was also suggesting you provide us with a video sample, a short video, but you would have to use a sharing site, Google etc, then provide us with a download link.
The files are to large to attach to forum posts.

I had no trouble with the Imgur website. The Properties show as 4K mpeg-4: 3840 x 2160 H264; progressive; 29.97 fps; bitrate 99932 kbps; no audio. Video Studio should not be having any difficulties with that, I would have thought...

We are not after the project file -- just a small sample taken from the video itself.

I think the security warning was due to a broadband connection problem, sorry about that...still having problems, maybe the temperature, hit 35C today

The video does not contain any audio stream so will not activate show messages
The project properties may need updating to use a 4k frame size to match the video
That may improve the preview quality

When trying to download from youTube I have 11 different formats available: which is the correct one?

Why not upload to a site (driveone, google,etc) that does not reformat the video?

No. We are after the Properties of the original project. You will presumably have saved that with a specific name and usually it is stored in C:\Users\[Your Name]\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\My Projects. So have a look there. Then open that project in Video Studio. Then in the Settings tab, look up Project Properties.

That's not the Properties of your project but of the video. As I said, you should find your Project in C:\Users\[Your Name]\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\My Projects. Open the project in VS then go to Settings > Project Properties.

Thanks for that -- though what we were really after was a small sample from that video, not the whole thing (which is 3.1 GB!!)
