After Render Screens Go Black

Post by Electroblast »

Hello everyone, Well not been to these forums for a very long time now, Until Yet again OMG I had the intermittent black screen as well as some images not showing, Again I never made any notes how i had fixed this problem previous.

So because i had little time In trying to work this one out and recalling how I got around it last time.
I did an on line search came accorss these long posts of mine, anyway I was reading through and thought damn this person sounds like me uhh?
I looked up at the username and thought Wow it is me haha.
so funny that I helped myself sort this problem out. AGAIN.

I don't ever recall ever mentioning the Fix? So I fixed it yet again and now gonna tell you or share the fix with you.
Lets recap first.

OK Intermittent video, Yes you might get the odd image or video which will display but there also might be long durations of Black Screen,
some very long periods of black screen in fact.

You may also note that play the video in your time line everything is good, but then render it the playback it's terrible?
The render iself is unusually quick especially the fact I was rendering a project that was 1920 x 1080 at around 50fps? Superspeeds now Corel? Nope I knew that to be a bad sign something was wrong.
You don't get this problem on lower quality vids its only files that might be Quicktime or some MOV ones where you might come accross this problem, If you already are using these sorts of files then you probably already might know the fix,
so i doubt you would be reading this anyway.

The fix is so stupid its simple, Its staring right at you.
Before i give you the answer, Sometimes when starting a new video In CVS you might get asked a question when laying down your first track something about same as project settings? Consider the question before clicking the "X" Basically you saying "Ahhh"! Go away.... Do this and you might have led yourself into very annoying territory,
because now an hour turns into something like four hours and still none the wiser.. Well it didn't take that long to read all of this did it? Oh but at at least you now have the Fix.
I don't mean sweetie (Candy) wrappers
On your screen where your wrappers are displayed and up top right in the left corner, or at least it was in this Version of Video Studio x9, Oh i have the other upgrades on other PC's because yeah i do a heck load of producing..
Anyway yes up top left corner "Check That Box' (Same As Project Settings) AND CHOOSE SMART RENDER Your vid is good to go and will now render at which you will now find the Render takes longer, but the end result will be Awesome!
So Its good to post this here because the next time i forget I can come back here anytime and think ahhh So its more for me than you, Sorry :)
I'm probably not allowed to mention this here but let me say i use a heck load of Adobe stuff Prem Pro and that.. Well I just find i end up wasting hourts on them progs because everything you have to do yourself virtually.. Corel Video Studio absolutely knock out! excellent software.. Now OK it does suffer a lot from Crashes always make sure you save regularly! And many times it is a corrupt file you are trying to install.
Got to go bad thunderstorm right above us!
