VS2019 Ultimate - NewBlueFX VII is not activated - need help

Hi, I've a problem with VideoStudio2019 Ultimate. I've bought the boxed version (DVD) and already tried to reinstall it to solve the problem. But I cannot activate NewBlueFX Video Effects VII. Should be integrated - see: https://www.videostudiopro.com/en/produ ... e/#compare

The Chat (Bot) and ticket help system (also Bot) is no help. Their answers doesn't fit to my questions.

Is there any way to activate this plug-in? There is no activation code inside the box for this plug-in and all other plug-ins doesn't have the problem (manual activation not needed).

I assume you are referring to NewBlue Video Essentials VII which is part of Video Studio Ultimate program
It does not require activation.

The filters are shown on the image below within the FX library, there should be no water marks and should work ok.

What errors are you getting, why do you think activation is required?

Can you see the problem? The Ticket System Bots always tell me this plug-in is only a trial - they didn't understand I've bought the fully ultimate version. I've sent the serial number and the invoice to this product.

What effect from Essentials VII are you using? I don't see it in my list of effects?

I did have to activate my Essentials VII from the Trial but that was straightforward.

Are you saying that you bought NewBlue Essentials VII separate from the version that was included with VS 2019 Ultimate? What version and build number does it show for your Essentials VII?

No, I didn't bought it separate - I bought the boxed VS2019 Ultimate version.
The filter you can see in my screenshots is called "Video Tuneup Plus". Also all the other filters in the Video Essentials VII plug-in aren't activated (all Video Essentials VII filters have water marks and asks for activation). Seems like only this plug-in was not installed correctly.

Reinstalling VS2019 Ultimate (using the VS2109 Cleanup tool) didn't work for me. Same problem again after reinstalling - again only Video Essentials VII is not activated. All other plugins are activated.

I clicked the activation option which opened a panel that included my details, like Canuck straightforward to activate
I have an account with New Blue even though I have never purchased plugins, only use what comes with the program.
I closed the activation panel and the link disappeared.

I also had an issue with the watermark using NewBlue Titler Pro5
That has cleared, just started working, I cannot say what I actually did to fix that?

When you uninstall using the cleanup tool, personal settings are not removed
One folder is used to reset the program.
Go to
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\22.0
Rename the folder 22.0 to 22.0_old
Running Video Studio will create a new folder
Not sure if this will help but worth a try

Ok, I tried the trick with renaming the folder 22.0 to 22.0_old but it doesn't helped. It creates the new folder but the same problem as before appears.

I also tried the trick with the manual activation. The activate button will only be enabled if I type in an activation key, but no matter what key I tried it says "invalid serial number ..." (expected behaviour because I typed in random numbers) and nothing has changed.

Before I purchased VS 2019 Ultimate I've tried out the demo version of VS2019 Ultimate. Maybe there are some hidden registry keys or files which aren't updated or wasn't overwritten. Is there a description for a clean deinstallation? Or do you know which files, registry keys etc. I've to delete in addition after using the cleanup tool?

Problem looks to be solved:

Steps I've done:

1. Delete VS2109 with the CleanUp Tool: download/file.php?id=12515
2. Go to the windows "control panel -> programs" and search for corel and videostudio - if some tools still exists uninstall them
3. search on your disks if some unrecognized corel or videostudio folders still exists and delete it
4. Use a system registry cleanup tool like CCleaner and clean the registry (maybe make a system backup first).
5. Download the VS2019 installer from "videostudiopro/com/download" (maybe the one on my DVD is buggy)
6. Turn off the Windows 10 service "Controlled folder access" - go to: Defender -> Virus & threat protection -> Ransomware protection (set the switch for Controlled folder access to Off)
7. Install VS2019 with the downloaded installer
8. Turn on the Windows 10 service "Controlled folder access" - go to: Defender -> Virus & threat protection -> Ransomware protection (set the switch for Controlled folder access to On)

NewBlue Video Essentials VII is activated now.

Maybe this is helpful for other users who will experience the same problem

Go to NewBlueFX.com and register as customer and you clold see all your serial nu, if not ask support center and explain them your case . they will help you
