NewBlue lower thirds title issues

I am doing something really stupid with NewBlue lower thirds. I have a 3 minute video on the time line. I add NewBlue Title to the video. I select the title "Blue Slide" and add the text. The title runs 6 seconds but when I close NewBlue the title appears and stays the whole 3 minutes. I can't see any way to have it appear and disappear within the 6 seconds specifies in NewBlue. What am I doing wrong?

The only way I can see to do this, and it may the right way is to use the scissors and cut the first 6 seconds of the video and then use that part for NewBlue. Is that the way it works?

It may have but it crashes. Even if I just put a object on the timeline and make it 10 seconds. I then drop the BCC Title Studio on top. Then I go to customize and select a lower third, Badge Slide Blue, in my case. I need to move the elements over to the right so I switch to Advanced UI and the second I try and move the selected element, the badge in my case VideoStudio crashed. No warning just disappears/closes.

You haven't actually told us what version of VS you have installed, however, in the past when I have had similar issues with BCC Title Studio, I uninstalled BCC from programs and features then reinstalled from the Bonus Features folder, that fixed the issues
